Eight people were taken to area hospitals yesterday after a morning crash between a Greyhound bus and tractor-trailer carrying shampoo.
The driver of the bus was taken to the hospital via helicopter and six passengers were transported by ambulance. All the injuries appear to be non-life threatening, according to Cranbury Police.
The driver of the bus, 25, was trapped inside the vehicle following the early morning crash, requiring firefighters to release him. His injuries were not as serious as expected but he was taken by air because the helicopter had already arrived.
The truck driver, 54, was taken to the hospital and later released.
Some shampoo spilled from the truck onto the road’s shoulder, but wasn’t blocking the highway. Traffic was snarled for two hours on the busy highway.
